Eaton Hayward Model 72 Straight Flow Simplex Strainer

Simplex pipeline strainers remove damage causing particulate matter from the process media, protecting system components such as flow meters, pumps, and spray nozzles. The particulate matter is captured in the strainer basket. The line is then temporarily shut down and the basket removed for cleaning or replacement.

Large size pipelines with high flow rates require a unique type of basket strainer. The typical design for smaller size pipelines just won't perform efficiently, causing pressure loss to be too high and the baskets to be too large to remove and clean easily. These problems have been solved by the Eaton Straight Through Flow design simplex basket strainer. With this straight through flow, pressure loss is greatly reduced, and at the same time, results in a compact strainer that can fit in tight spaces.

One feature that stands out is the convoluted, or pleated, basket design. The design allows for both increases in the amount of the straining area and reduction in the overall basket size and weight. This assists greatly in making it easy to remove the basket from the strainer housing. The quick opening cover provides quick and easy access to the basket while not needing a lifting tackle. Both time and money are saved as servicing this strainer is both quick and easy.
